Academy Awards logic

I don’t think people realize jut how difficult it is to do natural makeup for films. Most people think “Oh, I do it every day, it’s simple,” but the fact of the matter is that it’s not. In some cases, it’s harder than special effects makeup. It is a lot different on camera than it is in real life. Yes, there is no doubt that Voldemort’s makeup was great. It looked real, fit the character’s description - truly a fantastic work, but some was also done digitally, which very well could have been taken into consideration.

I dunno….I don’t have an opinion on who should have won, as I am not big award show fan, but don’t assume any kind of makeup is simple and does not deserve merit.

People need to realize through out the film of the Iron Lady, it goes through time. They age her. Doing natural makeup for ageing is one of the hardest special effect make ups to do. Posting one photo of her like this makes it seem like there was no make up done at all, but that is completely wrong.

Yes, Harry Potter had amazing make up. I am in no way dissing it. I loved the Harry Potter films. But also, as stated above, you can’t compare Voldemort specifically to this because part of his look was CGI.

But you also have to look at the Academy. Of course they’re going to pick a movie like the Iron Lady over a fantasy movie. It’s how it usually works, this was in no way a surprise.

I know, their logic is pure shit over this facts, then again, what was I so surprised, they did the same back then with Benjamin Button, I mean, because obviously this Bratt’s CGI face  It’s SOOO much better than this

It’s pure Acadeny Logic!!
